Meeting Rooms

Coquitlam Public Library has 7 meeting rooms and 1 computer lab.  

  • Local civic, school, cultural and not-for-profit community groups may book 1 room per month free of charge for meetings, programs, and events of an educational, recreational, social or cultural nature. A second booking the in the same month will be subject to the standard room fees listed below.  More than two room bookings within the same month is possible only with Library Board approval.
  • Tri-Cities Chamber of Commerce members receive a 20% discount when they indicate their membership.
  • Commercial and other 'for profit' groups may book up to 2 rooms per month on the following fee basis:

 Nancy Bennett Room $50.00/hr or $300.00/8 hr day 
 Board Room  $20.00/hr or $120.00/8 hr day
 Seminar Room 8 $10.00/hr or $60.00/ 8 hr day
 City Centre Branch: 1169 Pinetree Way
 Meeting Room #127 $35.00/hr or $210.00/8 hr day 
 Coquitlam Foundation Room #136  $50.00/hr or $300.00/8 hr day 
 Meeting Room #137 $50.00/hr or $300.00/8 hr day
 Computer Lab $75.00/hr or $450.00/8 hr day
 Board Room $30.00/hr or $200.00/8 hr day

Policies:

  • Fees must be paid no later than 1 day prior to the start of the meeting/program. A full refund (less 10% administration fee) will be issued if a cancellation request is received no later than 1 day prior to the date(s) booked. 
  • Please allow up to 3 business days for your request to be approved.
  • Please make any cancellations at least 2 days in advance of your bookings. No-shows and bookings cancelled without 2 days’ notice will count toward your group’s overall monthly bookings.
  • Bookings may be made up to 3 months in advance.
  • Tables and chairs are available but must be set up and cleared away by the group.
  • No stationery, supplies or electronic equipment are available with the room.
  • Meeting rooms are only available during regular Library hours and must be vacated 15 minutes before closing.
  • The booking organization is responsible for setting up their own equipment and troubleshooting technical problems.
  • To book a Tech Set Up lesson, please email roombooking@coqlibrary.ca at the time of your booking. The lesson will take place at least one day before you use the room. Lesson requests placed less than 1 week before your room booking are not guaranteed.

City Center Branch (1169 Pinetree Way)

Parking: Parking is available in lot on 2nd floor above library. Park for free for 4 hours in the Library lot. To stay longer, please ask at the Help Desk for a free 4-hour parking extension, just before your first 4 hours expire. Vehicles parked for longer than 4 hours without a parking pass extension will be ticketed.

NOTE:
 Food and drink may be served while using the meeting rooms. Please limit to cold foods (sandwiches, fruit/vegetable trays, etc.) as the smell of hot foods can disturb other library customers.
