The province has now entered Step 3 of BC's Restart Plan. Here's what to know when visiting the Library.   

Library Visit Basics & Hygiene

  • No time limits: visit for as long as you like.
  • No occupancy limits: please exercise careful social contact.
  • Masks are mandatory to visit the library for those aged 5 and up (unless exempt), regardless of vaccination status. 
    • People who cannot wear a mask or who cannot put one on or remove a mask without assistance are exempt.
    • Masks are recommended for those aged 2 to 4.
    • Face masks are also required for in-person help sessions.
  • You do not need a BC Vaccine card or proof of vaccination to visit the Library at this time. For help with vaccine cards, see our Help Guide.
  • No food and drink allowed in the library.
    • Closed water bottles are allowed.
    • Vending machines temporarily unavailable at City Centre and Poirier branches.
  • Please use hand sanitizer stations and washroom sinks for hand washing.
