Libraries are no longer the quiet, serious places people may remember from their childhoods.  No more “shhhing” here -- instead visitors to Coquitlam Public Library will find a relaxed and open atmosphere with a variety of accessible resources, technology, and interactive experiences for everyone - like these 17 Ways to Spend Your Day for Free at the Library

Join us at our Open House on Sunday, May 28, from 12:00 - 3:30 pm, featuring opportunities to connect, access, entertain, and learn:

  • Lendable Tech Stations demonstrating GoPro cameras, binocular kits, and more.
  • Read and Watch Station showcasing streaming movies, music, eBooks, and audiobooks on Libby and Kanopy.
  • Research and Learning Station featuring genealogical research using Ancestry: Library Edition, courses and tutorials offered by LinkedIn Learning for Library, and preserving family memories at the Digitization Station.
  • Newcomer Station with resources, workshops, and books for new Canadians, as well as lendable Happy Lights.
Attendees can register for a library card with a piece of valid picture and address ID.
