Discovery Lab

Located at the City Centre branch, the Discovery Lab is a unique space where you can interact with technology, games, and eResources. The room features our Lendable Technology collection and a staff member will be available most days to do demonstrations.

Get up-close-and-personal (while still staying safe!) with nature. Borrow a pair of waterproof binoculars and pocket guides (Birds of North America and Night Sky of North America), and get started exploring your neighbourhood.

Each month, we showcase one item in our lendable technology collection, and one eResource. Our Library Technician will demonstrate the technology and answer your questions.

Telescopes: Explore the night sky with our telescope starter kit.
ICBC Practice Knowledge Test: Prepare to get your license with the help of practices tests.

Drop-in for one-on-one tech help. Support is available for basic tech questions such as using email, searching the Internet, downloading eBooks, and setting up social media accounts. We can also assist with basic computer and technology troubleshooting questions.
