Holiday Hellos!

Share some joy this holiday season by sending a Holiday Hello to an older adult living in our community. We're inviting everyone to create holiday greetings, well-wishes, or art projects that we will add to care packages and deliver for the holidays.

How to Participate

  1. Create a holiday greeting – it can be a card, a letter, a drawing, whatever you think would brighten someone’s day! Include your first name, but please do not include your last name.
  2. Drop it off at one of our locations by November 24.
  3. We will deliver it, along with a care package, in time for the holidays!

A Note for Parents

Thank you to parents for encouraging your children to participate! Please be aware that by submitting a contribution you are giving Coquitlam Public Library consent to share the Holiday Hellos with seniors (either the original or a copy), but the Library may also use the image or a copy for promotional purposes including social media. We strongly encourage your children to not include personal information such as full names. If we notice this information is included we may edit the contribution for you and your family’s privacy!

Thank You To Our Previous Participants!

Thank you to all the children, families, schools, and community champions who participated this year!

  • We received over 2,300 individual items from the community, including schools in Burnaby and Vancouver.
  • We delivered Holiday Hello's and care packages to over 725 seniors in the community, including home delivery customers and residents of six different care homes.
