Library Story Times

At Baby Story Time, we will share stories, songs, finger plays and rhymes that help children gain pre-reading skills and develop a love of reading. No registration, just drop in. 

Stay for Sensory Play from 11:00 am - 11:30 am on Tuesdays and Wednesdays, featuring toys meant to engage babies through touch, movement, or sounds.

During story time break week, join us for a shortened story time and crafts. All supplies included. Suitable for ages 0-5. Drop-in program, no registration required.

10:30 am - 11:30 am. Crafts follow the story time.

Wear your favourite PJs to a summer-themed story time at historic Mackin House. Library staff will perform the story time. Refreshments and snacks will be served afterwards. For kids aged 3 to 5 and their caregivers.

Join us for an outdoor story time where we walk, read, and enjoy nature.

We'll be walking around the library going over a story and exploring the area around the library.  No registration required, drop ins welcome. Please meet at the front entrance to the Poirier branch to join. This program is weather dependent; please check the website or social media accounts for cancellations.

At Korean Story Time, we will share picture books, songs and rhymes that you can enjoy with your children. For families with children ages 0 - 5. No registration, just drop in. After the Korean Story Time, there will be a 30-minute playtime within the room.
