Library Network Outage Update

Attention Please_sml
Update: Dec. 3, 2020, 4:30 pm - All systems are back online.

On December 2nd, 2020, Coquitlam Public Library experienced a network outage, which is currently on-going. It means there is no access to in-library WiFi, phones, printers, computers and select digital resources as well as staff access to email. The issue causing the outage has been identified and is expected to be resolved within 3 days.

Customers with a library card can still access online tools from anywhere with an Internet connection including Creativebug, Hoopla, Kanopy, RBdigital, Road to IELTS and Transparent Language Online. If customers are already logged in to the CloudLibrary or New York Times app, they should have continued access. The following online tools are temporarily unavailable: Ancestry, Lynda.com, Solaro, TenseBuster and Tumble Book Library.

Branches are open at this time and the Library website is functional, but the catalogue is not. Customers are able to browse the stacks, return items to book drops, and check out items at the Help Desks, but will not be able to place holds or search for books through the catalogue.

Customers needing help can visit a branch for in-person help or contact the Library via their social media channels including Facebook, Twitter and Instagram at @CoqLibrary.
