Borrow a Library Laptop

Lendable Laptops

Lendable laptops have arrived! Starting on March 1st, borrow a laptop from City Centre branch and use it anywhere inside the Library. All you need is your library card or digital library card from the CoqLibrary app or CloudLibrary app.

The new laptop kiosk is located at the Help Desk, near the self-checkout machines. Just scan your library card to borrow a Lenovo Thinkpad laptop. You can borrow one per library card and will receive a complimentary 2 hours of use. At this time, laptops are not holdable, but available on a first come, first serve basis.

The Lenovo Thinkpad comes fully charged and is preloaded with Acrobat Reader, CloudLibrary, Gimp, Google Chrome, Mozilla Firefox and Microsoft Office 2019 Standard. If you require additional software, you can download it directly to the laptop.

After your 2 hours of complimentary use, return the laptop to a staff member at the Help Desk. Your browsing history and downloads will be wiped and the laptop will be sanitized and charged for the next borrower. Please note that after 2 hours, a rental fee of $2.00 per hour applies.

So, whether you can’t find a computer workstation in the Library or want some privacy to fill out online forms, or maybe you want to get work done while relaxing in one of the Library’s new couches, borrow a lendable laptop.
