The vaccine card has arrived in BC. Also referred to as the vaccine passport, the card shows proof of vaccination and will be required starting on September 13 to access select events, services and businesses (excluding the Library and other essential services).
By September 13, you must have at least one dose of a COVID-19 vaccine to access places where the vaccine card is required for entry.
By October 24, you must be fully vaccinated. This requirement applies to people 12 years and up.
Accessing Your Vaccine Card
Access to obtain the vaccine card began on September 7. Before you get started, have your date of birth, Personal Health Number and date of your first or second vaccine dose ready.
If you don’t have your Personal Health Number, call 1-833-838-2323 for assistance. If you haven’t been vaccinated yet, go to Get Vaccinated to register.
1. Go to gov.bc.ca/vaccinecard. You may be placed in a queue, so be patient. When it’s your turn, enter your Personal Health Number, date of birth and date of vaccine (dose 1 or dose 2).
2. After entering the above information, you’ve securely logged in and your vaccine card will be generated. It will display your name, vaccination status, card issue date and a QR code containing your vaccination information. Save the card to your mobile device or print it.
Order a paper copy of your vaccine card by calling 1-833-838-2323. The line is open seven days a week from 7:00 am to 7:00 pm and translators are available. Note, you cannot request a paper copy for someone else.
Print a copy of your vaccine card at a Service BC Office. Find a Service BC office.
You can also print a copy of your vaccine card at a Coquitlam Public Library branch. There are computers, printers and free WiFi at City Center and Poirier branches. See our hours and locations.
