We’re launching a new way of shelving and picking up holds to better protect the privacy of Library customers.
Previously, if you placed an item on hold, it would be shelved by your last name followed by your first name.
Starting in late August, that system will change to a combination of the last four digits of your library card number and the first three letters of your last name.
For example:
• Your name: John
Smith
• Library card number: 2241600018
0042
• Located on holds shelf under:
0042 SMI
If you don't have your library card with you or can't remember your card number, Library staff are available to help! You can retrieve your library card number at the Help Desk by showing staff your driver's license or any piece of current photo ID.
You can also save your library card number on your phone by downloading and logging into the CoqLibrary app, available for Apple and Android.
