Coquitlam Public Library and Canadian Blood Services have joined forces, and we need your help! Donating blood is a simple process that makes a big difference in the lives of others. Every day, blood transfusions help save lives and treat medical conditions including cancer, anemia, and other injuries.

By donating, you become part of Canada's lifeline. Join the Coquitlam Public Library team and make an appointment today! 

How do I join?

You can join the Coquitlam Public Library Team (COQU0115149) in one of two ways:

1. Follow this link to Canadian Blood Services: 
https://myaccount.blood.ca/en/join-team/COQU0115149
a. Sign in or Create an account
b. Follow the prompts to join the Coquitlam Public Library team

2. Join on blood.ca or the GiveBlood App by following these steps: 
a. Create or sign in to your donor account.
b. Select “Partners” from the side menu (or in the corner on the app).
c. Under “Join an existing team”, select "Go".
d. Search Coquitlam Public Library and join!

Where can I donate?

To find local donation centre’s and book an appointment, log in to your donor account and choose "Book appointment".

Can I invite someone else to join the team?

Yes! To send someone an invitation to join the Coquitlam Public Library team,

1. Sign in to your account.
2. Navigate to the Coquitlam Public Library team page.
3. Look for and select the red Invite icon (it looks like a person with a plus sign).
4. Enter an email address and send the invite!

How do I know if I'm eligible to donate blood?

What about my personal information?

All personal information related to your blood donor account is managed by Canadian Blood Services. You can find all of their Privacy Policies here or read their Privacy Notice to Blood Donors here.

When you join the Coquitlam Public Library team, you will be asked if you want to allow Coquitlam Public Library (as the Team Champion) to view your name and email address. This is for sharing upcoming donation events and information only. If you don’t want to share your name and email address with Coquitlam Public Library, simply select "No" and no information will be shared with the Library.

You can change this at any time by logging into your donor account.
