Peter Brown is an award-winning author and illustrator. Mr. Brown will show how he progressed from being a child who loved to write and draw, to being a professional author and artist. He will talk about his writing process, read his latest book and do a brief drawing demonstration.

Samantha Beynon is the author of Oolichan Moon, a children’s book about passing down traditional knowledge from Nisga'a Elders and the sacredness of traditional foods, particularly the oolichan fish. Beynon will read from her book and speak to the creative process.

Kallie George will discuss how she was inspired to become an author. Participants will get a glimpse at the writer's process through her notebooks, story-based crafts, and inspiration. Kallie George is an author, editor, and speaker living on the Sunshine Coast, BC. When she’s not writing or editing, she’s teaching creative writing workshops.

One of Canada’s best-known authors for children and teens. Gordon Korman finished his first book when he was 12 years old. He has now written more than 100, with sales topping 30 million copies worldwide. In his presentation, Mr. Korman will speak about his early start as a writer, where he gets his ideas, his love of humour and his favourite books for the audience at the talk.
