The laptop loaning kiosk is located in City Centre branch near the Help Desk.
Can I place a hold ahead of time?
No, lendable laptops are currently not holdable, but available on a first-come, first-serve basis.
How long can I borrow the laptop for?
2 hours of complimentary use. Rental fee applies after 2 hours.
How many laptops can I borrow at one time?
1 per library card.
Can I take the laptop out of the Library?
Yes, lendable laptops may be used inside or taken outside of the Library.
How much is the rental fee?
After the free 2 hours, a rental fee of $2.00 per hour applies, to a maximum of $336.00. Lost laptops will incur a charge of $944.00. Fees may be charged for any damages to the laptop.

Will I be notified when the rental fee begins to accrue?
No, you will not be notified once your free 2 hours have elapsed and the rental fee begins to accrue. Please be mindful of how long you have the laptop for.

What kind of software is pre-loaded?
Acrobat Reader, CloudLibrary, Gimp, Google Chrome, Mozilla Firefox and Microsoft Office 2019 Standard.
Can I download additional software to the laptop?
Yes, but upon return, all changes made to the laptop including downloads, any software you install and browsing history will be erased.
How do I login to the laptop?
No login is required. Just turn on the laptop to begin use.
Are laptops already charged?
Yes, the laptop will be fully charged when you borrow it.
Can I borrow a computer bag and charging cable?
Yes, these items are available for borrowing. The rental fee is $1.00 per hour for the set and refundable upon return.
How do I return the laptop?
Laptop must be returned to the laptop loaning kiosk.
Is my browsing history cleared when I return the laptop?
Yes, laptops are re-imaged (wiped) and recharged when returned.
What COVID-19 safety procedures will the Library be taking?
Laptops will be sanitized by staff before being returned to the kiosk for the next borrower.
